Paul Johnson makes the point that as 26/0s were carrying several tons
extra weight over 26/1s, and had no brackets for snow ploughs, they may
not have been so well suited to Inverness conditions (although 26015 is
an obvious exception to this). 50 Type Twos were also withdrawn this year
in total, suggesting a strategic clearout.
